Chronixx is one of Kingston’s hottest new artists, “modernizing reggae staples and breathing new life into the roots reggae movement.” (The Guardian) His style recalls the Rastafarian golden age of the 1970s, with uplifting, consciousness-raising lyrics set to deep, swooning rhythms. His life in music started very young – at the age of 11, he recorded a gospel-inspired original with producer Danny Browne, and sang backup vocals with Lutan Fyah. Now 24, he is working on his third LP and increasingly delving into themes of pacifism and global understanding.
Gates open an hour before the performance unless otherwise noted, and all performances are rain or shine.
