Forest Bathing in Prospect Park
Join the Natural Areas Conservancy in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance for a therapeutic walk through Brooklyn’s Backyard.
About Forest Bathing
Forest bathing, sometimes called forest therapy or nature therapy, is based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku. Forest bathing encourages connecting with nature. It is a low-intensity activity, focused on gently engaging mind, spirit, and body with the natural environment. The practice has well-documented benefits on health and stress relief.
About this Event
Our expert guide will be Bibi Calderaro, who is a Brooklyn-based artist, educator, and certified forest bathing guide. Her approach is to view forest bathing as a way to improve the health of both people and nature.
This event is free and will take place rain or shine, but space is very limited and registration is required. If you would like to attend, we ask that you please commit to the entire 2+ hour event.
