Pop-Up Audubon I: Macy’s Fishing Clinics
Join Prospect Park Alliance educators in these fun, free catch-and-release fishing clinics! Participants learn about aquatic ecology, fishing safety and will even get to collect their own bait, and then join us for a family birdwatching walk. Pop-Up Audubon is made possible through the generous support of Con Edison and the Brooke Astor Fund for New York City.

Macy’s Family Fishing Clinics, 1 pm + 3 pm: Enjoy catch-and-release fishing, while learning about local fish species, fishing safety and how to use the tackle. Suited for families with children under 8. This hour long program starts promptly at 1 pm and then again at 3 pm; late participants cannot be accommodated.

Family Birdwatching, 4 pm–5 pm: Did you know that as an Important Bird Area, Prospect Park supports an exceptional diversity of migrating birds and is an essential stopover for about 250 species of birds? After learning how to use binoculars, participants of all ages can join Prospect Park Alliance naturalists on a walk to learn how to identify these birds! This program leaves promptly at 4 pm.
