Spring Break in Prospect Park

Enjoy your Spring Break with Prospect Park Alliance. Visit the park for family-friendly activities at the Audubon Center, Lefferts Historic House and Carousel.

Spring Break Nature Exploration, 12–4 pm
Prospect Park Audubon Center, Free
Join Prospect Park Alliance for nature education programs at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the Nation.
Discovery Pack, 12–3 pm: Come explore nature on your own with our Discovery Packs, a backpack filled with nature activities and exploration tools, perfect for families and kids to interact with the park in a whole new way!
Animal Encounter, 2–3 pm: Join Alliance Naturalists in learning more about the animals in the Audubon Center’s collection. This program starts promptly at 2 pm.
Family Bird Walk, 3–4 pm: Prospect Park is a stopping point for hundreds of bird species each year! Join us as we search for these amazing creatures and other nature around the park. Binoculars and bird guides are provided. This program leaves promptly at 3 pm.

Spring into Spring Cleaning, 2–4 pm
Lefferts Historic House, $3 suggested donation
Join Prospect Park Alliance at the Lefferts Historic House for spring cleaning. Help us get the house looking good for the season by helping us wash our windows, floors, costumes and more using 19th-century methods.  

Carousel Rides, 12–5 pm 
Children’s Corner, $2.50 per ride, $11.50 for a book of 5 tickets, Free with Prospect Park Alliance Family Supporter membership or higher. 

Celebrate the start of spring with a first ride of the year on the Park’s beloved 1912 carousel. Join the Alliance at the Family Supporter level and your family will receive unlimited rides on the Carousel for a full year!
