Prospect Park’s NYC Climate Week 2021 Events
September 10, 2021
The effects of climate change are being felt near and far, including in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. During NYC Climate Week, September 20-26, join Prospect Park Alliance for virtual and in-person events to learn more and lend a hand in Brooklyn’s Backyard:
- On September 21, tune in for a Climate Week chat with Alliance Forest Ecologist Howard Goldstein and Turnstile Tours. Hear about the work happening in Prospect Park and ask your park-related climate change questions.
- On September 25 + 26, individuals and groups are invited to join Prospect Park Alliance to help keep our park green and vibrant by tackling litter and helping with other greening opportunities—register to check out Green + Go Kits at various locations around the park.
- On September 25 + 26, families and children can visit Play + Go and Nature’s Helpers at the Peristyle. Enjoy nature activities and games to explore and learn more about the park, then help keep the park green and vibrant through stewardship activities.
- Head to our Virtual Prospect Park page for a range of online games, activities, and resources to learn more about Prospect Park’s essential ecosystem.
