Prospect Park Alliance welcomes children of all abilities to Lefferts Historic House. Please check our event calendar for special events for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Space is often limited and registration is required.
Mobility
The 1st floor of the Lefferts Historic House and the museum grounds are wheel chair accessible. For information regarding exhibits on the 2nd floor please speak with an onsite educator. Quiet Spaces and Times
The museum is typically quiet on school weekdays from 2 – 5 pm.
Quiet places in the museum on the 1st Floor include:
- Back Parlor, with a comfy reading chair, books and puzzles
Quiet places on the Grounds of the museum include:
- Wigwam Area
- Chipped paths around museum
- Wagon
- Benches
