BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Family Day: Antibalas + KidsRead with Kate Yamasaki + DJ Marc Bars

Join BRIC, in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance, for an eclectic afternoon of family fun, culture and music at our annual Family Day, presented in partnership with The Center for Fiction. Multigenerational crowd-pleaser DJ Marc Bars spins an adventurous mix of pop, hip-hop and classic party anthems. The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music presents talented local players as accompaniment to a bilingual live reading of Katie Yamasaki‘s picture book, Mural Island. Godfathers of the Brooklyn Afrobeat scene, Antibalas will get the whole family dancing, closing out the evening with their infectious horn-driven jams.

This event is part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York City’s longest-running, free, outdoor performing arts festival.
