Outdoor Afro Community Birding Tour
Join Prospect Park Alliance and Outdoor Afro, an organization that celebrates and inspires Black connections and leadership in nature for a community birding tour. This will be an opportunity for the BIPOC community to explore the Prospect Park Vale, observe a variety of bird species, and enjoy a shared appreciation for nature and wildlife.
The walk will begin at the newly restored Lefferts Historic House, where the Alliance is shifting the focus to the history of enslaved Africans and the Indigenous people of Lenapehoking, followed by a scenic walk through the Vale.
The event will be entirely outdoors. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
Please note that there may be steps, slight inclines, and grass and dirt paths with exposed roots. For specific accommodations, please reach out to community@prospectpark.org.
Prospect Park Alliance would like to express our gratitude to our partner, Central and South East Brooklyn Community Development Corporation, an organization focused on advancing the holistic health of the residents in Central and South East Brooklyn.
