Volunteer in Prospect Park

Prospect Park Alliance engages thousands of volunteers annually to help keep Brooklyn’s Backyard green, vibrant and welcoming. The volunteer season runs from April through November.  Register today to become a volunteer in Prospect Park.

Full vaccination is now required in order to attend volunteer events at Prospect Park. Face coverings (masks) are not required for volunteers during outdoor projects. Volunteers are welcome to wear masks at their discretion.

Sunset Series

Join Prospect Park Alliance on Tuesdays from 5–7 pm, April–August to lend a hand with invasive plant removal, litter pickup and mulching. Appropriate for ages 18+.

Spring Spruce Up

Join Prospect Park Alliance on select Wednesdays in April and every Wednesday from March through early June to help care for the park before the start of our busy season by mulching, painting, invasive plant removal and more. Appropriate for adult volunteers.

Park Pitch In

Join Prospect Park Alliance on select weekends throughout the season to celebrate the park and our environment with range of projects from tree care to removing invasive plants and weeds, picking up trash and much more!
