Prospect Park Vale Construction Updates

The restoration of the Prospect Park Vale is one of the park’s largest improvement projects, and encompasses several landscapes in the northeast corner of the park. This page will provide information on the construction activities around the project, which is slated to be under construction through 2027.

Notice on Construction Vehicle Traffic: To limit the construction’s impact on park visitors, the contractor is working to limit construction vehicle traffic to the early morning hours, since park visitation increases throughout the day. Vehicles enter at the nearest entrance south of the site (at Flatbush Avenue at Empire Boulevard), proceed to the construction site entrance on the East Drive near Nellie’s Lawn, and exit at Grand Army Plaza.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these deliveries and remain committed to keeping our community’s needs in mind as we undertake this work.
