This summer Prospect Park is offering volunteer opportunities nearly every day of the week! Service projects will take place Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
And we have a new project exclusively for teenagers:
Tuesday Youth Corps is a new summer volunteer opportunity for teenagers in New York City. From July 8 through August 12, Tuesday Youth Corps will be offered every Tuesday from 10 am to 2 pm, and will meet at the Picnic House. Come learn new skills, make new friends, and give back to the community.
We are also seeking new Volunteer Leaders:
Are you a natural leader overflowing with energy? Do you love Prospect Park and like to interact with people of all ages and background? If you have the passion and interest in leading volunteer activities in Prospect Park, become a Volunteer Leader with the Prospect Park Alliance.
Interested in volunteering your time to keep Prospect Park looking beautiful? We’d love to have your help! Our menu to the left will help you find what you’re looking for. If you are looking to get started as a volunteer, check out our ongoing and annual events, and click the Volunteer Application tab to submit your application. If you are already a confirmed volunteer, use the Event Listings tab to find out what volunteering opportunities are coming up. Or, if you have a group of volunteers you’d like involved with the Park, click on the Community or Corporate Groups tabs.
Volunteers who have already submitted an application can use the Events Listing tab to register for events and check project details.
Every prospective volunteer must complete a volunteer application (click below to complete your application). Youth under 18 must submit a signed parental consent form with their online application. Please note that some volunteer opportunities may require an interview or additional training due to special skill requirements.
Children under 14 years old may volunteer if they are accompanied by an adult.
Children 14 – 17 years old are welcome to volunteer on their own. However, before they may begin their work, their application must be signed by a parent or guardian.
We are happy to accommodate volunteers with required community service.
Volunteer Corps Perks
All volunteers who give 20 or more hours in a calendar year will be awarded by our Borough President and will be invited to attend our annual Volunteer Recognition Brunch.
If you’re between 15 and 26 years of age, volunteer 8 hours at the Park and we’ll thank you with 3 hours of FREE recording time in the Beat Cave. Click here for more information.
