COVID-19 UPDATE: Prospect Park Alliance is working closely with NYC Parks and other city agencies to monitor developments related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and well-being of our staff, patrons and entire community is our top priority. As part of this effort, Prospect Park Alliance has postponed the seasonal opening date for this facility. Located in Prospect Park’s Children’s Corner, the Carousel is one of the park’s most popular attractions. Its 53 magnificent horses ride alongside a lion, a giraffe, a deer and two dragon-pulled chariots. Carved in 1912 by Charles Carmel, one of the foremost carousel designers of his time, the Carousel was restored by the Prospect Park Alliance in 1990. It is one of the only wheelchair accessible carousels in the nation. It remains a popular destination for birthday parties and other special events.
The Carousel reopens on April 9! Thurs–Sun + Holidays, 12–5 pm
The Carousel is located in the Children’s Corner near the Willink entrance, at Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard.
$2.50 per ride; $11.50 for a book of 5 tickets. Enjoy unlimited, free rides with a Family Supporter membership.
