40 Love Cafe

The Cafe is closed at present, but there are many healthy options available in the vending machines.




Tennis Birthdays at the Prospect Park Tennis Center

Budding athletes and kids who love to play will have a great time at a Tennis Center party. Refreshments are provided, along with instruction and tennis games led by our friendly staff of pros.

Tennis parties incude exclusive court use for two hours, with instruction and game play led by staff pros for 90 minutes.

Online Reservations

Court time may now be reserved online. Please note:
• If you have not used the online system before, you must come to the Tennis Center in person to create a login. Please bring a driver's license or other valid photo ID.
• Clay court reservations may be made online.  Hard court reservations can be made by phone only: (718) 436-2500.
• Special holiday rates apply January 1, January 18, and February 16.  Reservations for these dates can be made by phone only: (718) 436-2500.
• Outdoor season, daytime reservations still require a current NYC Parks Dept. permit.

Hours

The Prospect Park Tennis Center is open daily, from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Please note:
· We will be closed on 11/27 for Thanksgiving and 12/25 for Christmas
· We will close at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
· We will open at 12 noon on New Year’s Day
· Increased holiday rates will apply:
         January 1, 2009 (New Year's Day)
         January 19, 2009 (Martin Luther King Day)
         February 16, 2009 (Presidents Day)

Cost

For indoor season court time, lessons, leagues, clinics, and the Junior Development program, call (718) 436-2500. Rates for tennis vary by day and time slot. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted by phone or at the Tennis Center. Reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance.


Permits
Permits are not valid for the indoor season.

Outdoor season public tennis permits: $100 adults; $20 seniors (62 and over); $10 juniors (17 and under). Single-play (one hour) tickets are $7. These permits are valid during daylight hours only, for the outdoor season only, May through October. To obtain a Parks Department permit, click here or call (718) 965-8914. 


Special Aces

In spring 2007, the Prospect Park Tennis Center began an ambitious program, known as Special Aces, providing tennis instruction to children with physical and cognitive challenges. Click here to view their story.
