Tennis Outdoor Season

Tennis Birthdays at the Prospect Park Tennis Center Budding athletes and kids who love to play will have a great time at a Tennis Center party. Refreshments are provided, along with instruction and tennis games led by our friendly staff of pros. Tennis parties incude exclusive court use for two hours, with instruction and game play led by staff pros for 90 minutes. For rental information and party contract, click here .

The outdoor season runs from May 16 through mid-October. Directions.

Tennis Center Hours

Daily 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Court Rates

Reservations for permit holders      $7 per hour
Single Play passes                            $7 per person per hour
Night Play (7 p.m. – 11 p.m.)            $40 per hour

Lessons:

Online Court Reservations

If you have not used the online system before, you must come to the Tennis Center in person to create a login. Please bring a driver's license or other valid photo ID. Court time may now be reserved online.

• Clay court reservations may be made online. 
• Hard court reservations can be made by phone only:  (718) 436-2500.
• During the Outdoor Season, daytime reservations still require a current NYC Parks Dept. permit.

Online Court Reservations

May 16 - October 17 (lessons must be completed by October 17).

• $25 per class
• 5-class sessions $100

Classes will be held:
May 16 - October 17
Saturday  9 - 10 a.m. or 10 - 11 a.m.

May 18 - June 3
Monday & Wednesday  12 - 1 p.m. or 1 - 2 p.m.

In spring 2007, the Prospect Park Tennis Center began an ambitious program, known as Special Aces, providing tennis instruction to children with physical and cognitive challenges. View their story.
